We were here at lunch time around 12:15 pm. There were so many people already and we had to wait a bit. We were here to try the dim sum menu. We ordered a couple items. All of them are delicious and they served the table very quickly. We were full and didn't get to try the desserts. Maybe next time.

Picked up a bunch of dishes To Go for a small get together. I usually go all the way to Freeport for my Chinese food, but since this restaurant was on the way to my destination I figured I would give it a shot. Everything was pretty good. I don't think I had anything to complain about. The portions were just right and didn't suffer from shrink-flation. I would have to go here for dim sum to really get an idea of how well this place is but from just ordering some takeout it was decent and nothing tasted bad.

Dim sum variety is bad however they do taste good. The best part is their dim sums are all steamed hot. The price is reasonable. Will come back if visit the area.

I ate here after Mass with my family. To be honest, the Chicken Fried Rice needed flavor so I added some soy sauce and a little bit of Chili Oil just to make it tasty for me. Besides that however, Sweet and Sour Pork and Pork Fried Rice were pretty good in my opinion.

Great local place for Dim Sum and Cantonese food. Gets crowded for dim sum on the weekends. Be prepared to wait if you missed the first round of seating. If you are a small group like 2 people there is opportunity to share a table with another party if you like. Make sure to put your name on the waiting list when you arrive. You don't really notice it. My husband and I went for Fathers Day, but just missed the first round of seating. We decided to put the order in as to go and bring home to eat. They told us 30 mins but ended up being 50 mins. We could have gotten seated by then. Oh well lesson learned. We still enjoyed it at home

Joy City in Elk Grove has recently changed ownership. They have dim sum now and the kitchen items are much better than before. I was here twice for dinner in the last week. I haven't tried their dim sum yet. So this review is mainly for their kitchen dishes and services. I received a nice greeting on both visits and was seated right away without waiting. The dining room is pretty much the same as before. They didn't have a major remodel after the new management. The food is much better than before. I loved the Braised Sliced Pork Belly with Preserved Mustard Vegetables the best on my first visit and a few more dishes. The Pork Stomach with Black Pepper, Gingko, Bean Curd Skim Soup is almost remarkable. I ordered on my 2nd visit too! I like their food. I'm glad we have one more excellent Chinese restaurant in my hometown. Most choices are better. The parking lot is safe and easy to get a parking space near the restaurant. I'm sure I will come more often now!
